Our content policy
We think it helps to be clear about what you will and will not find here, so you can decide whether Home Education Hub suits your family before you spend time on it.
What we do not cover
We do not produce religious or political material. That includes religious education, worship, party politics, and current affairs framed around a position. This is not a judgement about those subjects. It is simply not what we do, and we would rather say so plainly than have you find out three worksheets in.
What we do cover
Maths, English, phonics, science, geography, history, art and design, drama, music, computing, design and technology, and languages. Our history material sticks to well-established topics such as Ancient Egypt, the Romans and the Victorians.
How we design things
Plenty of children, ours included, find busy, noisy websites hard work. So:
- Sound is off unless you turn it on. Nothing plays by itself.
- Nothing is timed unless you choose a timed mode.
- Getting something wrong is quiet. No buzzers, no lost lives, no red crosses.
- Animation respects your device’s reduced-motion setting.
- Layouts stay put. The same controls live in the same place.
- Age ranges are a starting point for browsing, never a lock on what you can reach.
Children and accounts
Only adults hold accounts. Children have profiles within a parent’s account with a name of your choosing and an avatar. We do not ask for a child’s email address, date of birth or any other personal detail, and children never sign in themselves.
